Lynn Coppola, MD, MPH is a Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. As a clinician who has practiced obstetrics in various low resource nations, she realizes the importance of a coordinated, multifactorial public health approach to addressing problems such as maternal mortality, stillbirth, and infant mortality. Her current research efforts involve ultrasound training for a multi-site international study being conducted by the World Health Organization. Her goal is to increase awareness of global women’s health issues among health care providers, increasing their personal commitment to improving the health of women and children internationally. In 2014, she received The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists Award for International Service.
