Health Diplomacy: Global Public Health is key to health promotion and disease prevention.
It is well known that a healthy population is the cornerstone of economic growth, productivity and prosperity as well as social development and security.
Global health refers to the scope and magnitude of health problems, not their locations and encompasses the training and distribution of the health-care workforce nationally and globally. Thus, our GHI focuses on training the next generation of global health leaders and on addressing domestic health disparities as well as cross-border and worldwide health issues.
“Think Globally and Act Locally”
Poverty, chronic illness, malnutrition, infectious and parasitic diseases and the lack of trained health care workers are devastating the health of people worldwide. It is well known that in this era of globalization diseases don't respect boundaries. Our responsibility is to enhance, protect, and promote the health of the people in AZ, nationally & globally and to find evidence-based solutions to global health problems through the education and training of tomorrow's global health leaders. “Local Impact, National Influence, Global Reach
