Outreach and Global Engagement
Global engagement and outreach is a fundamental underpinning in our efforts to improve public health.
The Global Health Institute promotes and builds bridges for UA Zuckerman College of Public Health faculty, staff and students to work collaboratively with local and global partners to mobilize education, research and outreach. Opportunities for visiting scholars further allow us to actively engage with global partners and contribute to our mission to train a strong and culturally competent workforce.
The Global Health Institute Scholars program offers students a variety of global Internship opportunities allowing students the ability to explore the roles public health professionals play in different global health settings.
The Young Global Leaders Program gives recent High School graduates and rising 11th and 12th graders the opportunity to explore public health through hands-on experiences in research, academic track exploration, career exploration, participation in professional lectures and seminars, lab experiences and team-based learning.
The Digital Health Academy offers a variety of didactic and project-based opportunities for students of all disciplines and backgrounds to turn understanding into action.
As a service opportunity for motivated change makers to immerse themselves in a community abroad, Peace Corps volunteers work side by side with local leaders to tackle the most pressing challenges of our generation.
The Global Health Equity Scholars (GHES) program is part of the NIH Fogarty Global Health Program for Fellows and Scholars.
The Fulbright-Fogarty Fellowships in Public Healthare offered through a partnership between the Fulbright Program and the Fogarty International Center of the U.S. National Institutes of Health.
